A-El Estruendo pours a bit hazy and dark golden in color. My pour dons a thin, white cap of level foam. Head leaves faint lacing rings.
S-Bright and tart in the nose. Sour, grainy aroma. Slight spice. Maintains its Saison base aromatics but that peppy tartness is a nice addition.
T-This 'Session Sour Saison' is on point. The flavor is just intense enough to without becoming too acidic (which I think would thwart the 'session' idea). It' starts off with a tart, lemony flavor. Then I get some crisp grainy flavors mixed with a bit of Saison yeast spice. Finishes with barely any sweetness and some lingering tartness.
M-I could session this beer, I think. The body is light and the bubbles are invigorating. I polished off my pint quite quickly.
O-El Estruendo is a success in my book. One of the zanier takes on the session craze. Cambridge and Naparbier (yes, a collaboration) have done well here.
