Enjoyed at the barley wine festival. Reviewed from notes.
A - Poured into a snifter a hazy dark honey hue with a light brown head that was thin and faded to leave a light halo.
S - Aromas of light smokey notes, super faint malts. Very, very little barrel or bourbon.
T - Taste has more bourbon, nice with good toasty malts and nice caramel. Good faint english hops, lightly sweet.
M - Mouthfeel is decently carbonated, good light oaky finish.
O - Overall this is an alright beer. The taste was really nice but the nose was really subpar. The carbonated was a bit thin as well. The bourbon came through quite nicely on the taste.
