Listed as "Norwegian black ale brewed with sheep skulls.". Yummy.
Pours near black as advertised. No light passes. Beige head but it settles to rim bubbles and leaves nearly no lace.
The smell is classic black ale with lots of burnt malt. Some chalk in the background.
Beyond the bitter burnt elements, I get a sweet berry-like flavor. No skulls or sheep but it makes for interesting conversation. The body is neutral and the effervescence low. The finish it's like semisweet chocolate but the aftertaste is brief.
