This beer poured a deep amber with no head and no bubbles floating around, very English. The nose was dominated by the smokey toasted malts and very little contribution from the hops. The taste was like the nose, mostly toasted malts and a slight bitter finish. The body was full with low carbonation, kind of chewy. Good beer if you like the bitters.

Presentation: On tap.
Appearance: Tawny amber orange in colour with an off white bubbly lace.
Smell: Rounded toasted malt, floral East Kent Goldings and a mild fruitiness hit the nose.
Taste: Toasted Victory malt, hop bitterness twang and some fruit are the forefront of flavours. Nice hop finish that lingers a bit leafy with some mellow toasted flavours.
Notes: A very favorable bitter ... brewed to style with a generous amount of hops.
