Teardrop glass. Consumed on 3/11/11
A) Poured with a thin head. Hazy body. Amber in color. Thin, sticky lacing.
S) Yeasty and pungent. Hints of dark fruit - apples, cherries as well as honey.
T) Classic Saison flavors. Earthy. Subtle sour/bitter notes. The addition of squash is pleasant and noticeable, most profound toward the finish. Residual earthy bitterness hangs in the aftertaste.
M) Medium body. Dry. Slight gritty feel.
O) A great brew crafted with local ingredients. If only a mainstay or returning seasonal.
