So nobody has reviewed this yet? Ok, lemme drop the first review for the beer on BA.
Dig the cool label design, some dudes playing joust and shit from the Robin Hood era. Pours an auburn color, 1/2" off white head, good clarity. An earthy hop and malt note come out in the aroma, biscuity, coppery stuff here.
Taste keeps the copper biscuit train rolling. Generously hopped for an esb, but not absurd proportions or varieties (get yo proprietary hops out muh face), still hittin' for me. Its not the same copper aspect like in an older ipa, this is like one of those really old pennies with a bunch of dirt and grime on it making it a bit less bitter than without that earthiness. While it pushes the earthiness, it isn't a heavy viscosity beer, relatively light body that imparts a little caramel and a yeast that drops a mild fruity push. All in all its pretty enjoyable and I wish it was on my supermarket shelf or at least one of those 2 beers in a 12 pack variety pack job.
