Bigger, Hazier, Juicier! This Hazy Imperial IPA is packed with juicy hop flavors and a big 9.5% ABV, all wrapped up in smooth drinkability. Notes of orange are prominent, along with more citrus from the huge hop lineup—is that a hint of yuzu? There’s also a nice underlying sweetness of berry.

Poured from a fresh 12oz. can into a pint glass, has bright amber color, hazy, with about 1/2" head which continues for a bit with good lacing. It is Very tropical smelling.
>> Medium mouthfeel, very Juicy (sweet) tasting, and refreshing, with a bit of the Sierra Nevada trademark flavor that can be found in their IPA's. The 9.5% Alcohol is well hidden by sweetness (cloying?), which sticks around for a while on the pallet. Just know that it's real sweet (like one of those Juice Force things).
It is hopped by Citra, Mosaic and Comet which all impart fruity tropical flavors. For me, this is a Summer drink that I would enjoy chilled a bit more than usual in a ice cooler which sits next to a BBQ.
At only 15 Carbs, it is appealing to me because there are only about 250 Calories which come with it. If you are like me and counting Carbs then a drink like this fits the bill.

Look: It pours a beautiful, cloudy amber-gold. It has that thick, "juicy" appearance that defines a top-tier hazy, topped with a resilient white head that leaves great lacing on the glass.
Aroma: The nose is a tropical fruit salad. You’re getting hit with big waves of pineapple, mango, and a distinct candied orange peel. There’s a slight boozy warmth, but the fruit keeps it well-contained.
Taste: This is a flavor powerhouse. It leads with massive citrus and tropical notes—think tangerine and berry—followed by a light malt sweetness. For a 9.5\% beer, the hop bitterness is kept low (34 IBU), allowing the "juicy" character to stay front and center.
Mouthfeel: Remarkably smooth for its weight. Sierra Nevada used a specific grain bill to keep this from feeling too heavy or syrupy. It’s got a soft, silky texture but finishes cleaner than most Imperials, making it dangerous for a long night of hockey.
Big Little Thing is a "Big" beer in every sense of the word. It’s balanced, flavorful, and packs the kind of punch you need when the playoffs are on the line. It’s the perfect companion for a backyard grill session and a Sabres victory!

From a 12 oz can into a pint glass, hazy pale yellow-orange color with a foamy white head with tight bubbles. Sticky head that slowly fades. Nose of grapefruit-like citrus, maybe some tangerine. In the mouth it’s bitter up front but also a syrupy sweet element. Hops like grapefruit rind. 9.5% alcohol is well masked. The sourness is actually off-putting to me, though the brewer’s website says it’s only 34 IBU. Just kind of weirdly super-bitter and lacking balance. Mouth is smooth, crisp and quenching. Overall, just too bitter though I made it through 12 oz. Would not try again.

There’s come a point in life as a man where you need to decide “Am I a man or am I a fruitcake” — drinking this makes you feel like a juicy fruitcake. I like it!

This is more of a juice than a beer to me. It has a very thick white head, I am a fan of a thick juicy white head so I do like this, however is not a manly beer, this is a beer you drink if you don’t have sophisticated palate and just need a drink in my opinion. I feel like a street worker when I have one of these lol…
The epitome of an average hazy IPA, nothing great nothing bad. Just make sure you’re wearing your panties when you drink one!

I’m at a crossroads, my minions. At what point is a beer no longer a beer? Hell, at one point is a man no longer a man? I mean, I don’t see any Trojan warriors ordering this beverage from a bar after they jousted with the Achaeans. It’s borderline just not a manly drink. Not saying that you have to be a strapping, virile man to drink beer. Then again, what am I saying? I dunno. It’s just that the thang comes off more juice with alcohol than beer to the Raul man. Like, it’s more so here just to get you buzzed at a Miley Cyrus concert rather than to sit down with as a reward after a long day of laying concrete.

Very slightly hazy bright orange color with a respectable white head.
The aroma is citrus and melon.
The taste is orange, grapefruit, a touch of lime and honeydew melon, very slightly sweet. The finish is dry with some citrus zest and a touch of pine, mild bitterness.
The body is light/medium, very good carbonation, well hidden ABV, smooth and dangerously drinkable.
Altogether, this is a fairly tasty and refreshing brew, should go well with spicy or hearty fare, a decent after dinner brew, well done.

Sierra Nevada Big Little Thing IPA
A - slightly murky honey color with orange hues. Pour yields a 1-1/2 finger head with little retention that recedes to nothing. Not really any lacing. 3
S - syrupy sweet. Orange rind, orange flesh, some alcohol, some tropical notes. 2.5
T - sadly, this follows the nose. Very sweet and syrupy. Some artificial orange taste, though I doubt that’s what it actually is. Some bready malts. Alcohol is definitely present and not in a warming way. 2.5
M - medium viscosity and carbonation. Syrupy. 2.5
O - Not a very enjoyable beer. I admittedly don’t love Hazy IPA’s but this was still one of the worst I have had 2.5
