Packaged on 6/15/22 - consumed on 7/22/22. Poured from a tall-boy can into my Harriet pils glass.
Brilliantly clear maize liquid supports a fist of rocky ivory up top. Sticky crenellated lacing; superior retention.
Pungent hop aroma initially - a wave of citrus-kissed wild grasses. Crisp, crackery grain notes emerge as the hops fade.
Very bready, toast-forward palate entry - unique malt profile gives way to flavors of orange peel, grapefruit, and a hint of scallion/mint. The adjuncts and American hops seem a little at odds with the base beer, and lead to a slightly tannic/sour finish. Perhaps a tiny bit husky. Dry, and refreshing, with faint grape-like lager yeast notes.
Medium-light bodied, well carbonated, and zesty.
A good drinkable interpretation, but not really on par with the better versions (continental or American) takes on the style.
