Another victim of the Bottle Backlog here at Chez Woody has surfaced! I hope that I never get this deeply buried ever again. It won't happen for a while since I am locked into being in and around Lancaster for the foreseeable future. It was the product of travel & drinking away from home. I now do most of my imbibing in my kitchen, in front of the computer.
It was a screwed-up screw-off cap, which generally torques me, but I feel like I have been beaten today. Since it was a) retired & b) almost two years old, I decided to give both of us a break with a gentle pour. Once decanted, an in-glass swirl raised two fingers of foamy, fizzy, bone-white head that quickly fell away back to wisps. Color was Straw-Yellow (SRM = > 2, < 4) with NE-quality clarity. Nose smelled strongly of tart green apples, cinnamon and pie crust-like biscuity malt. Nailed it on the nose! Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium. The taste closely followed the nose and was like a liquefied slice of apple pie! Why did they discontinue brewing this one? It was delicious! I prefer blueberry & cherry pie, myself, but my late Pops was a big fan of apple pie & his mom would often bring her homemade pies over for us. The cinnamon spiciness in this beer was slightly offset by a vanilla-like sweetness that was like vanilla ice cream to go with the pie. How can you help but like something like this beer, where it lives up to its billing in truth in advertising? Finish was semi-sweet, but quite tasty.

This was a very good malt beverage. I compare it to a cider but much better. We sold it with fireball and iced cream added to it. It was lighter and clearer than I expected it to look and is sweet but not syrupy tasting.

is this a beer?...whatever.
look: mostly clear golden. not much of a head.
smell: apple juice. smells like nice apple juice.
taste: and tastes like apple juice/cider.
overall: not sure this is beer and kind of feels like a gourmet food lover sneaking fast food, but it's tasty nonetheless.

Sampled last night on 10/12/15. Seen this one since the summer. Bought a single as part of the "Make your own 6" from Hy-Vee for $8.99. Comes in a 12-ounce bottle. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a .3L "KAISER BIER" glass.
Drink pours a light hazy apple juice in color with a thin white head. Some minor light lacing was seen when sipped as well. Aroma is what would be expected of a spiced 'Apple Pie Shot'. Taste follows the nose. Pretty sweet and it's a one-at-a-time drink. Lighter-bodied with good carbonation. Overall, something different for autumn and worth a try.

Pours a light apple juice color with decent head and virtually no lacing. Smells like apple juice and whipped cream. Taste like carbonated apple pie with a dollop of whipped cream. Very sweet, can only do one. A pretty decent effort replicating apple pie

Only reason this one got a small bump out of me in the flavor catgeory is because this stuff tastes exactly like apple toaster strudels and brought me back to my childhood real quick. Couple sips and a drain pour, not as terrible as some other sprechers but this one's not all too great itself. Overspiced and a highly artificial taste through and through.

Not a beer but is still pretty good. Tastes like apple juice with some spiciness. I enjoy it, but wouldn't buy it often. It's just too damn sweet, it's good once in a while, but I can only handle one.
