Picked up a bomber from Craft Beer Hop Stop on 10/1/16 for $5.99. Bottled on 8/29/16.
Beer poured black as night with a beautiful brown head that is leaving lacing behind.
Nose is medium roast and citrus.
Taste initially was full on overwhelming roast. In subsequent sips the roasted malts and huge citrus hops melded nicely together.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall this is one big bad ass whopper of a beer! Definitely a treat as you generally cannot find black ipa's anymore let alone one that weighs in at 10.8% abv and a value at $6!
