My least favorite of all the Turbo Shandy that I've tried. I felt the grape more synthetic in nature than the cherry was in the Ohio variant, but it also didn't mesh with the citrus as well for my preferences.

Glad to have tried, but I wouldn't repeat for my palate and preferences.

L - pours a mostly clear medicinal purply pink. Looks like grape soda...

S - ...smells like grape soda. Maybe a touch of candy and riesling.

T - tastes like grape soda! Wow! Who woulda thunk it! The flavor is actually a bit more complex than that, with touches of booze and berries. The shandy comes in toward the end with some Juicy Juice and raspberry. More booze. Maybe some alcoholic seltzer.

F - does not feel like grape soda. Smoother, lower carb, and more beer like. An improvement.

O - these shandy beers are always guilty pleasures. Haven't had grape soda in ages, so this is quite a throwback! Hits an odd spot that only needs sating like once every other year, hah. The ABV here can get you in trouble though!

For better or worse, this freakishly nails the local inspiration, tasting like grape soda and smelling very much of grape candy. Flavor adds lighter, round notes of lemonade and orange, and it's not as sweet as you would expect, but if it was a tad sweeter (it doesn't need to be), you would really think you were sipping out of a straw from a styrofoam cup at Swenson's.

That makes this quite the dangerous beer--it's drinkability is incredible for being 7% ABV, as it even feels like soda, with a semi-dry, tingly and slightly spicy effervescence.
