16oz can served in a big snifter. Best by Feb 16, 2026. Received from @ozzylizard in NBS BIF #17.
Pours a murky orange-brown with very little head. Looks fairly still, and quite thick. Smell is pretty legit carrot cake batter. Carrots, maybe raisins, some kind of spice -- I think nutmeg. Maybe some vanilla cream.
Taste is moderately sweet, a bitterness that seems to come from a spice (again, maybe nutmeg), very noticeable booziness, strong vanilla.
Mouthfeel is thick, sticky. Overall...it's hard for me to nail down thoughts on this. I've had some pretty out there beers, but this is pretty next level "out there."

Corner Slice from Hoppin’ Frog, 16 oz can. Picked up at brewery 22/03/23. Reviewed 26/03/23 (Review 3059). Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Stamped on can bottom “BEST BY FEB 16 2026”. Served at 56.3 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature was 58.6 degrees.
Appearance – 3.5.
First pour –Pale Amber (SRM 9), hazy.
Body – Pale Amber (SRM 9), opaque. Under direct light, same coloration but roiling carbonation. When rear lite, weak transmission of orange.
Head – Average (Maximum 2.5 cm, aggressive center pour), almond, high density and fizzy, receding to neither crown nor cap, just an intermittent ring of near-microscopic bubbles.
Lacing – None.
Aroma – 4.5 – Sugar and ginger/allspice. No malt, no yeast, no hops. No ethanol (14.5 % ABV as marked on can) aroma.
Flavor – 4.5 – Sweet, sweet carrot cake. No hops, no yeast, no malt. No gastric warming. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl.
Palate – 3.5 – Full; creamy bordering on syrupy; lively but soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 4 Smells and tastes like liquid carrot cake – diabetics be warned!

While pouring carrot orange, it fills to a darker turbidity with a khaki head that fizzles to nothing but a roiling central surface.
The nose is maraschino and amaretto over the carrot cake inspiration—booze seems to bolster the cinnamon towards the end, warming the nostrils.
Taste is actually more carrot up front, which is kind of nice, though a fizzly effervescence lifts the booze which pairs with the sweeter frosting elements that linger.
The slick medium-light body finishes semi-wet, but with a boozy warmth that's not quite bitingly painful, though it comes close.
