Imperial Mexican lager with a dash of smoked chipotle pepper. Collaboration with Missing Fall Brewery

Chill hazed dark amber with a short, bubbly khaki head.
The high ABV definitely helps to add a little more toasty malt character, as well as a bit of heat, though it doesn't amp up the very mild chipotle presence. However, the overall character nears close to Melba, though again it's all very mild. Still, it comes too close to quad or barleywine characteristics due to that ABV.
Although I prefer Mexican lagers remain unflavored, I like the idea of adding chilis as opposed to lime. Still, I would have loved to see a normal strength lager collaboration from these two.
