On tap at the brewery's taproom/restaurant. Nice dark copper color, with a fluffy white head. Good retention and lacing. Nice piney aroma, with a touch of grainy malt sweetness in the nose. The flavor had an equal mix of piney bitterness and flowery hoppiness, with a nice sweet backbone. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with nice carbonation. Overall, pretty tasty.

a much more inspired (and inspiring) offering than the bad phil pale ale, which really underwhelmed me. this is a rather robust american ipa with a good mix of hops flavor intensity and bitterness to finish it up. a pale copper color, frothy as they come, excited carbonation and a lot lacy head with awesome retention. smells prominently hoppy, pine family stuff, alpha acids and not shy on the dosage. grain is fresh but sturdy, not quite balanced like the english ones, but it definitely is a big enough base to support all these hops. more bitter in taste than the nose indicates, mostly in the finish, which sort of cleans up the sappy pine middle. i love all the bubbles on it, thats what makes it. its so refreshing for a strong and dense ipa because of the feel, and when its ice cold it makes an excellent summer ipa. all around tasty, and the best of the there barrel stuff so far for me.

Pour is a deep orange-red, moderately hazy. One-finger white, thick foam. Aroma of piney hops, lemony. Taste of lemon, apricot, just a touch bitter. Full-bodied, smooth mouthfeel with a bite to the finish. First for me from these guys, and I like it.
