On tap at the Westside location.
Amber color body with excellent clarity and a good white head that leaves plenty of lacing on the glass.
Moderately fruity aroma with at least as much hops as melon; watermelon rind too.
Flavor is less hoppy and has a stronger, clearer watermelon aspect. Mildly bitter overall.
Light bodied but not watery; appropriate, light carbonation.
Overall: a watermelon beer that’s not sweet.

The pourer told me that the inspiration for this beer was the 21st Ammendment watermelon Wheat from San Francisco. Having had both, I think this one is far superior than its model, even though I find that one pleasant enough. Pours a cloudy golden with a thin, tightly beaded head and with excellent lacing. The aroma is interesting with watermelon rind and spicy wheat. Smooth, and a bit green, but nice, Slightly sour, but has a bit more earthiness than the 21st Ammendment beer. The taste is very well done. Compared to the 21st Ammenment beer, this one is a bit heartier and a bit wheatier, and less sour, but wih more watermelon flavor. A bit spicy and earthy from the 400 pounds of organic Crimson Sweet watermelons used. A bit of bubblegum on the finish for that Belgian ttouch that this place is known for. The mouthfeel is spritzy and spicy with good body. Quite a bit less thin than the California version. Nice. Very refreshing and interesting. It is only fitting that Georgia would produce such a fine watermelon beer given that or watermelons are second to none and we are the top producer in the nation to boot. Leave it to 5 Seasons North to source the finest local ingredients for another great beer. I really enjoyed this.

Appearance: Burnished gold body that's so cloudy it's damn near opaque. Wispy, off-white head.
Smell: Slightly restrained aroma, but once you can really get your nose down in the glass you'll find that distinct watermelon note.
Taste: Lightly tangy, lightly grainy wheat flavor precedes the sweet watermelon component vaguely reminiscent of Midori. Small hints of citrus and spice upon warming. Very light bitterness midway. Dries out as your near the wheat cracker finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: A fair, refreshing beer well suited for easy summertime drinking.
