473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Apr 20 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy golden-yellow colour, with more than an inch of fluffy, foamy white head rising from the surface. It lasts for the better part of five minutes, gradually worn down to a creamy collar and sudsy cap; a quarter-inch curtain of lace is draped on to the glass. It smells of raspberry juice and bready, wheaty pale malts, with hints of orchard fruit and lime.
Drinks more or less like your typical raspberry wheat ale. I'm tasting wheaty, bready malt sweetness and tart raspberry at first, followed by more of a jammy-sweet raspberry note that lasts into the finish. The lime is understated, peaking mid-sip with a hint of lime-ade, fading into a momentary aftertaste reminiscent of raspberry lemonade. A little sugary overall, but not quite as sweet as lemon-lime soda. The mouthfeel isn't far off though, with assertive carbonation and a thin, fizzy mouthfeel; some syrupy slickness during the last few swigs, but on the whole it's a quality thirst-quencher.
Final Grade: 3.69, a B. Beau's Refresher is little more than a fruited American pale wheat ale, but it's a decent one. The raspberry steals the limelight here, relegating the, uh, lime to more of a background role. Nothing fancy going on, but I still liked this: it's well crafted and refreshing as advertised. Worth a look if you enjoy raspberry wheat ales, and it'll hit the spot on a hot summer afternoon - it could use a spritz more lime, but I think I'd buy this again if I were in the mood.

Staright up summer beer stuff. Light and easy to drink. Fruity, mostly about the raspberry with a bit of bite from the lime. Made well enough.b
