Pours s pale golden color with a froth, medium sized head.

Smells of dried garden herbs, copper and straw, wrapped up by a pleasant, floral note.

Has a truly refreshing, well carbonated, balanced light body, making this an easy drinker throughout.

Tastes bitter right from the beginning with copious amounts of dry, noble hops, still being able to inherit a soft floral quality among bread dough and light, balancing caramel. Has a bubbly, effervescent middle part, together with more rustic turning, toasted malts. Finishes utmost dry and crisp, with just enough sweet caramel cutting through the omnipresent leafy hops to maintain a well working balance in this, smoothed by crackers and straw.

This is one of the best Pilsener out there. It is truly hop forward, well balanced and nuanced and brings a delicate, well working malt profile to the palate, which is astounding to me every time I have this.

The local beer of my home tome.
My favorite Pilsner. Always loved the taste and since it's close to impossible to get one in the States im so looking forward to enjoying the great taste on my vacation during the summer.
I can only recommend this beer to those who love Pilsner beers.

Good body with a reasonable maltiness and bitterness. Well balanced and pleasant to drink when in the mouth. However, the aftertaste is a bit odd, not in the sense of being overly bitter, but just leaving a vaguely unpleasant taste. This very much distracted from the beer's other good qualities.

Not the first time around the block with Stauder.............. Once again, on a recent trip through Germany had this more than once. Served right by one place in particular that topped the glass off at my request sans any suds............... Nice and cold and yes, I like it that way dummkopf hipsters........ Absolutely gorgeous product. Refreshing, smooth, not freaking hoppy......, light sweetness. A perfect beer, period. God, what a beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very dry and hoppy -- a bit like Jever. This one has a big "nostalgia" factor for me. A real local, working class Pils in and around the Bochum area. Actually, I have never had it in a glass or outside of Bochum itself. Nice medium/high carbonation with a starker (strong) taste. Bit of a sharp after taste, but that's what Stauder fans are looking for with that "fresh" and "herbal" style. If you're in Bochum, then I reccommend you have a cold one!!

Enjoyed at the out of the way Bavarian place outside Central Munich, just a lovely memory. Reviewing from notes. Poured a clear light gold, fluffy white head. Grassy, maybe light citrus fruits. Hopes are understated and well integrated. So crisp, exactly what I want in the style. Just lightly fruity, wonderfully dry, grassy, tight, and crisp. This was more like a Czech style pils to me. Awesome.

I also had this at a bar in Essen.

A: A clear, dull, yellow. Healthy fluffy head.

S: Both malt and hops are soft. malt preceeds the hops, with a touch of sweetness.

T: Bitter for a german Pils. Also quite tart and sour. Yet it doesn't taste cheap, or low quality. Slight soapiness.

m: Tingly on the top and smooth and light going down.

D: Fine, I'm not sure what it would go well with but it's fine.

Had this in Essen Germany where it is made. Poured a pale golden color from a bottle and had a good two finger white foamy head which soon turned into a thin film. Moderate lacing.

Smelled of grasses and hops, and a very slight fruity background.

Tasted of good clean grains with some sweetness to it. Also a bit of malt but not much.

Clean mouthfeel, thin to medium body and nice carbonation to keep it interesting.

Overall this was a pleasant surprise. I'd never heard of it before, but my friend in Germany served it to me. Nothing revelatory going on here but it was a beer I'd enjoy again. Very easy to drink.
