Pours a deep amber. Thin foam. Malt aroma. Big maple malt body. Light sweetness. Just a hint of blueberry. Close to blueberry pancakes. A little heavy. This is really more of a fall beer than a summer beer.

A-Clear orange, some carbonation and a one finger head that leaves some lacing.
S-Sweet, too sweet blueberries, not much else.
T-Overly sweet blueberries and there is little else. Some wheat but the overly sweet, borderline artificial blueberries dominate it.
M-Lighters, not much carbonation and slightly watery.
O-The poor blueberry flavor hurts the beer and makes it so it isn't very tasty.

I love me some horseheads brews! Kicking off summer 2011 with some blueberry ale.
A- a perfect amber look with a frothy of white head of foam. Decent lacing but really hearty looking
S- that is the most blueberry scent on the market! Good malty theme to back it up
T- literally tastes like a blueberry smoothie. Good fruit flavors mesh with the maltiness. Great brew focused on fruit and flavor
M- good carbonation meshes well with the syrupy flavor
D- delicious desert brew that is truly enjoyable in this warm weather. Horseheads continues to impress

The beer pours a beautiful gold color with a thick frothy white head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a really fresh blueberry nose. The brewer used canned, fresh, and frozen blueberries. The taste is good as well. It's not your most complex beer, but it delivers as advertised. It's a fruit beer with good fruit character. The malt bill's simplistic and easy drinking while focusing on good fruit taste. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a low bodied beer with adequate carbonation. This is a great summertime brew. It's light and flavorful; an easy drinker.
