Bottle purchased from the brewery. Bottled dec 22 2014.
Served in a pint Glass.
A- hazy clear gold, with a bubbly head of foam diminishing to a thin layer around the glass. Not much retention. Small strings of bubbles.
S- Slightly malty with some faint aromas of spices.
T- A decent malt base but thats about it. Malty flavors , golden pie crust and a whisper of apple with very subdued spices of nutmeg and cinnamon. Fairly bland.
M- prickly carbonation on the tongue also left me feeling bloated. mouth feel was also very thin.
D- not very drinkable. Better than you typical mass produced light beer.
Overall i had a good feeling about this one but man what a let down. This beer had virtually no flavor representing the style. It tasted more along the lines of a mediocre Canadian style ale. Very bland. Especially at $3.95 a pint!
