The drought is over. Brace yourself for a Caribbean storm. This Piña Colada inspired Gose has a deluge of aromas with pineapple, coconut and lemon front and center. Followed by a torrent of zesty citrus and aromatic herbal notes that burst across the palate. Hold fast for a thunder clap sharp salty finish.

From the can in the BrewDog 2023 Advent Calendar, it pours a clear golden color with a modest white head that slowly reduces. The nose gets Pina Colada scents, while the mouth gets the slightly sour Pina Colada taste.

12 oz can, part of the 2023 Beer Advent calendar
pours a clear yellow color , white head that eventually fades. smells like sun tan lotion - big coconut which I'm not a fan of. But the taste is more pineapple and citrus, a little sweet but also a little tart. thinner bodied.

Can from the Advent Box
Almost brilliant medium gold color with a decent but short lived bubbly white head that persists. Aromas and flavors of pina colada. Pineapple coconut vanilla light earth and malt. I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would and I'm not a fan of coconut.

12 ounce can poured into a tulip glass.
L---Lightly hazy, pale golden color. Nice, white head that had good retention and left good lacing.
S---Strong, very strong coconut. Coconut overpowers everything else that might be there.
T---Coconut is still strong and is the dominant flavor, but some other notes do penetrate the coconut. There's some pineapple and lemon as advertised. Don't really get any saltiness, though.
F---Fairly light bodied, almost fizzy. Well carbonated.
O---Really all over the place. I didn't really care for this one.

Not sure why the reviews are so low this beer is exactly as described it's a gose style so you get Briny salt and sourness and then the Pina colada aspect kicks in with nice milk sugars and coconut flavors. Both go pretty well hand in hand but I can't see myself drinking too much of it because it is quite sour. Still worth picking up if you are a fan of the style!

Not a gose fan but I had to try it. Pours light gold. Strong pineapple aroma. Sour upfront with a strong Pina flavor. The sour and pineapple go well together. If you like this style it's worth a try.

12oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours clear golden color with a bunch of chunky floaties swimming around
S- light pineapple and coconut, along with citrus peel, undertones of sunscreen and some acidity
T- coconut and pineapple up front, followed by acidic citrus note of lemon and orange. The finish is slightly tart with a linger of coconut
M- medium-light body with medium carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a dry, crisp, salty finish
O- light a refreshing, would make a good beach or lake beer

Golden color, slightly hazy, pineapple, lemon, and coconut notes on the nose, those notes translate to the taste, especially the coconut. The mouthfeel is to style. A nice Gose, I’d try this again as a summer quencher.

(12 oz can, 03/13/19, purchased a cold single... poured into a fat tulip)
L: cloudy, pale, yellow-amber liquid; specks of sediment... slimy sponge of foam, but little retention, collar, or lace
S: rather unique smell - wouldn't peg it as either pina colada OR gose right off the bat (certainly more the former though)... maybe more dried mango, papaya, coconut lotion, urinal cake... fantastic potency, yet artificial, extract, concentrate-like aromas, and totally not to style
T: wow! despite its scent, the flavor certainly has an acidic gose pop up front, with the brine and tang lingering along with a powerful backbone of tropical malt-beverage... halfway through, the coconut does establish itself in the aftertaste, as does a light citrus-pithy bitterness... late into it, the colada flavorings just won't go away
F: bit more plump to the body and roll in its viscosity than usual for the style, but still light enough in its finish not to get in the way
O: shift this to 'fruit and field' style, dude - you gotta be kidding me... one of the few flavored goses I've tried, and a notably powerfully-flavored one at that... hitting a lot of the right spots with me, and I could see recommending it, but it's not something I'd seek out again

On tap. Look is golden, slight haze. Smell light citric acid, very faint funk. Taste is pleasantly tart, not overpowering at all. Not sure I’d identify pineapple blind, but there is a fruity citrus. The coconut comes very faintly at the end. Feel is relatively high carb. Overall a decent beer, but not remarkable in any way.

Well, I'm glad I didn't go hog wild with blind faith and buy more than a single of this. That about sums it up.
This pours a dirty golden, with some head at first and much less later. The aroma is promising. Something exotic is coming, with fruit. The taste it delivers is a confiused, mildly tart, mildly dirty bitter yet fruity sweet beer. It's a mess. The aftertaste is mostly fruity and it's fine that it dissipates quickly.
Not recommneded. Your light, fruity beer guests aren't going to appreciate this one. Stick with Elvis Juice for them.
