This is a high level collaboration of three legends. I copy the Description from UnTappd because it is a particularly good one and says it better than I can. The third legend, of course, is Brasserie de la Senne.
"FREUNDESLAGER is the result of a collaboration with two very good friends, true legends in brewing bottom-fermented beers: Eric Toft, from Schönramer Brauerei in Bavaria, and Agostino Arioli, from Birrificio Italiano - the inventor of the Italian Pils! Freundeslager has a beautiful, slightly cloudy orange color. The smell is typical of a lager, but clearly fruitier. It has a very malty and biscuity taste, which is very tasty. At the same time it also has floral and fruity aromas that are reminiscent of peaches, oranges and gooseberries. These flavors are made present by a clever mix of Belgian and German hops. It has a great body and complexity for a light beer, and it is well balanced by a fine bitterness. "
I note that the label states this is "A Hoppy Festbier" And Festbier styling is more accurate than calling this a pils. Pils are rarely this soft in the mouth or fruity in the nose. I tend not to like hoppy lagers, but I enjoyed this. Partly it's what you get when three legends collaborate. Partly it comes from a great yeast.
My excellent Overall Hugs are for these collaborators and de la Senne who is a hoppy brewer and, yet, this malthead has now had twenty of their brews. A Sante' et Merci' !

On draft at Delaware Supply Albany. Beautiful fluffy white head and gold color. Very crisp and clean with a peppery finish.

Copenhagen 12/7 2025. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Illums, Kbh. K. Drawing of a very bubbly brewery in cool shades of blue and green on the label.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Stable Settles as a 0,2 cm thick, creamy layer for foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a fresh citric scent. Sweet pale malts, bread and grains. Citrus and lemon. Grass.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick. oily, soft yet lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light sweet underton. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Refreshing and appropriately bitter the on a Pilsner.
