Reviewed From Notes(1/4/14). Had as part of a flight. Pours a light straw color with average head and minimal lacing. Aromas of sweet malt and a little barnyard funk. Taste was slightly bitter with hints of sweet malt, spice and earthy tones. Balance is good with touches of aged fruit. Nice carbonation, decent saison

Not a bad attempt at a saison by BMB. It's nice and clean, but really doesn't have a whole lot of flavor for a 7.2 percent beer. I'm getting some non-descriptive fruitiness and subtle notes of clove and peppercorn. Little to no funk presence. It's pretty tasty and very drinkable, but it lacks a certain character that I look for in saisons. It's an average American saison. Nothing more, nothing less.
