Hazy light orange color. Smells and tastes of tart grapefruit. The flavor is fresh and not overly sweet like other fruit beers. Not really my style but it's good for what it is.

Pours a very cloudy gold with almost no foam and zero lacing. Smells great, very full of grapefruit/citrus with some wheat notes. The taste is fantastic, this beer is very tasty, excellent grapefruit flavors with some sweet fruity notes and some mild hops and wheat mixed in. There is a nice dryness on the finish and little to no bite. I would have to say this beer could not be better for a hot afternoon sitting in the pool, really nice. It has great beer taste with a nice mix of flavors that are done just right.

Big thanks to DblDiamond for sending this one for my NFL Confidence Playoff BIF win! Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Poured from a 12 oz. can into a Cigar City Brewing goblet.
A: Pours a very hazy gold, with a good amount of visible carbonation and a half-finger of white head that fades quickly.
S: Big grapefruit – bitter and sweet ruby red. Plus some tropical fruits, and a light cracker malt body with a mild husky character to it. It's a nice fruity grapefruit, but there isn't much else going on.
T: Tangy sweet grapefruit, biscuit malts with a good bit of sweetness and milder huskiness. Some tangerine citrus, and pilsner malt character as well. Some yeastiness with mild sweet esters. There’s a bit of an off-putting metallic flavor on the back of the palate as well. Mildly bitter on the hang, but the finish is more dominated by the sweet citrus and some of the weird metal tangy flavor.
M: Body a bit on the light side, but good carbonation sensation and low alcohol presence.
O: This was my first shandy, at least as far as I can remember. But this was not a drink that I particularly enjoyed. The metallic flavor isn’t welcome, but it isn’t strong enough to ruin the beer. It just isn’t my favorite – the grapefruit juice tastes like a weird concentrate that was undermixed, and the grainy and pilsner malts don’t work particularly well (for me) with the rest of the strong citrus flavors. I don’t have a measuring stick for “shandy” at all, so I'll be rating this just to personal preference I guess. Nothing I’d drink again, but I won’t drain pour this one or anything.

Crafted on 1/8/16. Batch # 339000329.
Pours a murky orange-brown with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of grapefruit juice, grapefruit soda, citrus zest, and slight earth aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour grapefruit juice, grapefruit soda, and sugar sweetened grapefruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty, light, and easy to drink.
Serving type: can.
