Draft offering at the springhouse taproom. The brew appears a clear yellow color with a white froth that fades to a thin film across the top supported by rising bubbles.

The smell is fruity with a little spice like clove and almost a touch of fruited aspect like apple/pear skins. Overall not bad smelling.

The taste has a mild spice overtop fruits like apple/pear. Some clove and wheat with a grassy bitterness that lasts and contrasts the yeastiness. The alcohol is evident but doesnt distract.

This is a light to medium bodied brew with a modest amount of carbonation. It is an interestig mix of flavor for a big alcohol saison. To date, this is the best saison effort put forth by speing house. I would enjoy having this again but maybe with the alcohol toned down a few notches.
