Pours from the growler a very dark brown with a tan head. Pour hard and the dark color spreads up and looks very thick.
Smells of cocoa nibs and belgian yeast sweetness.
Taste is a sweet dark chocolate with minimal bitterness. The cocoa nibs are present and since I love chocolate, you can almost taste the sweet dark Ecuadorian nibs. The vanilla is very present on the back and keeps the chocolate from being bitter.
Medium to thick full bodied feel. Medium carbonation.
Very good take on a chocolate beer. I'm impressed that the chocolate was not overpowering and sweet, but not too sweet.
