the hoppy pils is where its at, and this is a great one. super light on the malt side, glowing light yellow in the glass with near flawless clarity from the tap and a good inch of white head on it. lots of bubbles, and a soft european pils cereal complexion to it, but very mild as they go. the hops are more the dry hopped profile here, juicy and fresh and citrus forward without contributing a lot of bitterness, and as bold as they smell and taste, this remains delicate beer because of the really light grain base and the overall dryness of it. the beer is balanced but the hoppiness for me is way ahead of the more traditional pilsener elements, the malt and the yeast. i love how light it is, but i dont taste much yeast, it just has the lager snap to the finish, crackling dry, but its less flavorful there than in others. the hops are great though, especially with low bitterness, lots of juicy citrus, and a clean nature overall. awesome carbonation too, this really sparkles. not sure a 12 ounce pour is even close to enough of this one, i could drink this by the six pack no problem, and would like to all summer long if it were available. one of the better hop driven pils types in the market right now!
