A: Poured into a snifter to a black beer topped by a finger of dense light tan head which fades quickly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of chocolate with hints of red wine, cranberries, apple, and slight orange
T: Taste is chocolate and espresso up front followed by wine barrels, cranberries, apple, and some orange zest. Hints of oak as the wine barrel makes a few passes across the palate. On the swallow there's more orange zest, cranberries, apples, chocolate, and red wine with a lingering fruity finish.
M: This beer is fairly full in body with a slightly silky feel on the palate. Carbonation is light but is adequate for the style while the beer has a drying finish from the ABV.
O: Overall this is a really nice treatment to Black Tuesday. the wine barrels are a nice touch and everything is there in balance. The complexity on this beer is very good as well which makes it an enjoyable drink. This would be a fun one to see come back.

375mL bottle acquired through The Bruery’s Society. No bottling date, released April 2018. Served in a Bruery teku. Enjoyed 10/31/18.
Pours a deep, dark brown, resting essentially black in the glass with some tan froth that quickly fades to a narrow band around the edges.
Smells of red wine, fruit cocktail, old wet wood, vague cocoa and some cooked sugar.
There is considerably more fruit in the flavor than the nose foretold. Dried cranberries, apple skin, wine-soaked wood, burnt caramel, bittersweet citrus peel, chocolate, earthy leather, Bruery house yeast and a hearty dose of alcohol.
Full body with minimal carbonation. The booze-laden aftertaste does indeed call to mind a sangria.
The Bruery continues their top-notch work with this limited Small Batch release. As advertised, Sangria Tuesday delivers that familiar base stout with all the Sunday brunch cocktail that the name insinuates.

375ml bottle into a snifter appears black in color with a khaki head that fades quick.
A fruity nose with raisons, booze, cedar, cranberry and even hints of apple as it warms.
Taste had black licorice upfront meets cedar and vinous fruity oaky appeal with an herbal almost medicinal aftertaste.
This is medium in body with light carbonation. A boozy yet tasty riff on BT, I was surprised by how much I actually enjoyed this.

375ml bottle poured into a tulip
A- pours deep black and thick with a one-finger creamy white head that reduces to a ring around the edge, sticky lacing left behind
S- the aroma definitely has a fruity sangria vibe up front, with lots of berries, orange zest & apple notes. Underneath the fruity notes, an array of caramel, dark chocolate, creamsicle, chocolate-orange truffle, dried fig & simmering cranberry. Light undertones of vinous red wine and oak
T- those fruit additions are immediately noticeable, just as in the nose. It opens with cranberry and overripe red apples, followed by zesty orange and dark fruits. Mid-palate brings out the BT malty sweetness, with notes of caramel apples, orange-cream-filled chocolates & molasses. As it nears the finish, light tannic red wine flavors seem to compliment the other fruits, as well as a hint of woody oak. The linger leaves more of the fruit, as well as a caramel apple sweetness.
M- medium-heavy body with moderate carbonation leads to a chewy mouthfeel and a slightly creamy, warming finish
O- the best BT variant I've had. Every fruit additional is noticed and the red wine barrel only seems to enhance them. ABV even seems a bit subdued, which is typically rare with their weekday stouts. An outstanding beer
