I dunno, around April 2020 I decided to swing by Adam's place for a few beers and a cigar before taking the trip home on a Sunday afternoon.
Pours a dark brown color with only a smattering of head formation in the 1/5" range at its height. The aroma is quite decadent as expected. Maple seems strongest, but not by much as coffee came in heavy, and then the bourbon barrel. Vanilla, brown malty notes, caramel, roasted malt in lesser proportions.
Taste is an immediate kind of "damnit, why do I have to like this so much". The coffee provides a nice light bitterness to counteract the sweetness of the maple and lesser vanilla. Shockingly easy mouth feel of lower carbonation but amazing the way the sweetness hides the alcohol. Was a warm for spring day, but this didn't have the stickiness that could weigh you down, was real similar to Urban Roots Summer Life, but with maple and coffee basically, and even more booze.
Did I mention how well this paired with a cigar? Alright put this one in 750s already, I'm dumb enough to thrown down $30 on it.

A: Poured into a snifter to a dark brown beer topped by a dense and slightly rocky finger of light tan head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of tons of coffee with some maple and bourbon barrel goodness on the nose.
T: Taste is sweet maple and coffee with some toasted malts and slight coconut, oak, vanilla, and caramel. Maple is surprisingly forward and is balanced nicely with the coffee. On the swallow there's more coffee and maple followed up with more caramel, vanilla, oak, toasted malts, and coconut.
M: This beer is on the heavier side but not overly so with a slightly creamy feel on the palate. Carbonation is adequate for the style and is not prickly while the beer has a slightly drying finish.
O: Overall this is a really nice beer with some great flavors and complexity. The OG Mash & Grind was amazing and the addition of maple just took it to another level. This is definitely one that I'd like to see made again in the future.
