750ml bottle poured into a snifter
A- after having to push the disintegrating cork through and decanting; pours a deep brown with a nice purple hue when held to the light. No foam
S- bold fruity dark grape aromas up front; cherries, blackberries, black currant, raspberries, black licorice and a hint of cracked pepper. Undertones of the base beer give rich chocolate, vanilla, fudge, oak and a hint of booze
T- initial flavor is a blast of dark grape varieties, immediately giving berry notes of blackberry, raspberry, currant & dark cherry. Mid-palate gives some peppery notes, as well as black licorice. The finish reminds you that there is beer in there with a wave of creamy dark chocolate and a hint of caramel. Oak starts to sneak up before another wave of red grapes prolong the linger
M- medium body with no carbonation, silky mouthfeel and finish, abv hidden well
O- the grapes are the showcase with bold dark fruit notes throughout. The Black Tuesday base adds a complimenting chocolate note that almost tastes like a chocolate covered cherry. An outstanding blend
