Consumed Summer 2022.
Pours an amber color. Like lighter than a brownie, but this is, . . . "Not a Brownie" (nor is it a tumor). 1/4" white head. The aroma has a pastry nose. Vanilla, sugar cookies, chocolate chips. This is beer? Light bourbon influence lost behind grandma making sugar cookies and desert. Didn't smell bad. They named a different beer Bakery?
Taste brings the sweetness once again, but it wasn't as over the top as I was expecting. Wasn't getting the nuttiness for this one. Still find the barrel lacking. The mouth feel hides some of the alcohol, but not enough to make this enjoyable enough to want more of. You know, come to think of it, it was Bruery just dumping 100 different 12%+ pastry beers like this that made me get over them. Just stop. Make some of the good stuff in greater numbers from the OG lineup. Not this 8 one offs every month. This just tasted like a lot of sweet adjuncts. Pass.

750 ml bottle, 2021 vintage, bottled on 04/05/21. Served in a chalice, the beer pours a cloudy dark gold color with about an inch off-white head that didn't stick around for very long. Decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like vanilla, coconut, cream, cacao and some bourbon. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some oak, walnut and some booziness. Think it smells better than it tastes, the aroma seems sweeter than what the actual taste is like. Barrel character isn't strong at all. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and has a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, worth trying if you get the chance to.
