We knew Hoarders would go bananas for this one. Inspired by our innovation team's love for Monkey Bread, this ale was aged in bourbon barrels with Dulce de Leche, cinnamon, pecans, and vanilla.

Released in 2020 Hoarders Small Batch No. 3 and in the Best of small batch Hoarders (box 4, winter 2020)

A: Poured into a snifter to a black beer which is topped by a finger of rockly light tan head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate, bourbon barrels and some hints of pecans
T: Taste is cinnamon, dulce de leche, vanilla, chocolate, pecans, woodspice and oak with more cinnamon. On the finish there's more cinnamon, a little alcohol, caramel, pecans vanilla, oak, and lingering hints of roasted malts.
M: This beer has a body which is on the heavier side of medium with soft and slightly effervescent carbonation. The beer has a drying finish due to the ABV.
O: Overall this is a really nice beer. Maybe a little adjunct heavy but still really enjoyable to drink with decent complexity.

375ml bottle poured into a tulip

A- pours brown in color with a one-finger foamy khaki head that has short retention

S- aroma is a bit muted at first, but as it warms it opens with notes of cinnamon and vanilla, followed by candied pecans and a hint of vanilla. Undertones of oaky bourbon

T- sweet and malty up front with a big hit of caramel and vanilla cream, followed by some cinnamon spice mid-palate. The finish brings out a blast of bourbon barrel, along with more cinnamon and caramel. Lingers of caramel, sweet bread and bourbon

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a silky, warming finish

O- let this one warm up a bit, as it begins to open the longer it sits

Had this on tap.

S: sweet alcohol notes with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.
T: strong, dark toffee raisiny notes with hints of nutmeg, vanilla and sweet banana; tastes like banana foster
M: full bodied; very smooth
O: solid beer overall; great feel and taste combo
