I am drinking Sticky Nanners today using a Tulip glass. This beer is almost 2 years old. Served it at 50 degrees. The pour created a creamy, two-fingered, dark tan head with poor retention. The color is dark brown, nearly black, charting around SRM 38. The beer is opaque and comes with a carbonation bubble on the top. The dissipation left lacing on the glass. The appearance is average for this style.
The initial aromas are chocolate, banana, maple, and bourbon. Nosing the glass, I detect toasted biscuits, oak, caramel, toffee, molasses, a hint of coffee, and a touch of char. I love the smell of this beer.
The first flavors I tasted were maple banana, bourbon, chocolate, and caramel. Sipping the beer again, I taste coffee, a hint of char, molasses, raisins, oak, and bready.
The mouthfeel is chewy, finishing warm. The body is heavy and has medium carbonation.
I have consumed several pastry stouts, which are generally loaded with sugar. This is sweet but not cloying and unpalatable. The bananas do not taste fake but add a pleasant addition to the chocolate. I love the name of this beer. An excellent beer to enjoy on this warm winter day.

On draft at Brew Bank Topeka. Poured an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of maple, vanilla, banana and sweet chocolate. Very sweet taste with maple, rich chocolate and subtle banana notes.
