Bourbon barrel-aged honey ale
People of the court, hear ye! We truly enjoy exploring traditional styles through modern crafting— and this braggot-style ale is a uniquely sweet reward. Our Bruers called on honey to guide fermentation before aging this ale for over 12 months in hand-selected bourbon barrels producing a sticky, honey sweetness swirling prominently among hints of caramel, spice, and oak character. Raise a glass of Chaucer’s Chalice. Huzzah!

Yeah we're running back a lot of the March Madness 2024 selection today. I'm not sure if I've reviewed a braggot here. Proud and loud.
Pours brown. Beige head, small bubbles, 1/3". The aroma was neat, sweet, honey and bourbon treat. You could mention caramel and/or toffee, which was the style at the time.
The taste, whoo boy, its sweet heat. Feel, feel, feel, feel my hee-heat. Sticky mouthfeel. Dark oak. Immense bourbon and brandy feels all over it. Whooooose that? Brown. So this is braggot? And what have you got? Mixture of dark fruit notes, bourbon, brandy (warming like feel). One of the thickest (thiccccest) and stickiest brown colored beers I've ever had. Seemed to have a polarizing effect on our group, was mostly a love/hate relationship like most high body count side pieces specialize in. Its a monster sized beer that is for sure, so bring some friends if you take this one on.

Pours a beautiful clear mahogany, brief fizzy head, no lacing or retention. Nose is overpowering bourbon and bourbon barrel. Maybe some spice, but nothing outside the profile of a bourbon. Basically smells like an old-fashioned. Taste very much follows - huge bourbon booze, raisins, dark fruit, spicy rye. There is a fair amount of sweetness here. If someone served this to me flat on the rocks, I could be convinced it was a weird, bottled Manhattan. Judging it as a beer, though, or a braggot, that makes it a lot tougher. Mouthfeel is moderate, and it stays pretty hot throughout. Would love to have some of these bigger Bruery beers without the whole barrel treatment. YMMV.
Edit: Day two on the rocks it's a slightly mellowed out, but still very rough around the edges.

A big, bold and booze braggot, with a honey sweetness that is immediately noticeable. Aroma is honey, caramel, bold oaky bourbon and that classic Bruery boozy maltiness. Taste gives a ton of bourbon barrel up front, giving oak, barrel juice, caramel and a hint of vanilla. Mid-palate gives a bold honey sweetness, along with tons of booze. The finish gives more barrel and honey. Medium body with moderate carbonation, viscous and boozy mouthfeel and finish.
