Alll aboard! This fruited take on our award-winning Train to Beersel is on a direct line to your taste buds. We started with our lambic-inspired imperial sour blonde ale, and treated it with peaches and vanilla beans for a slightly sweet take on this tart treat. Complex, funky, and terrifically Terreux.

750, 2022 edition
Burnt orange with creamy 2 finger white head. Nose is peaches, pale malt, musk, and vanilla. Opens with a blast of peach flesh and cream with a balanced acidity from funk with lemon juice, that folds into a hint of vanilla and smooth oak. Body is light to medium with a creamy medium carbonation. Ends long and dry with a lingering lambic funk. Overall very nicely done with just the right amount of vanilla and complexity from the base sour. On the fence if it’s worth the $30s or not. Glad I tried it though.

750 ml bottle, 2022 edition, couldn't find a bottling date on it. Served in a Bruery tulip, the beer pours a hazy golden/orange color with about an inch and a half off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like peaches, vanilla, green apple and some funk. Taste is similar to the aroma, with the addition of some oak, lemony citrus and bready malt flavors. Nice amount of tartness. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and a bit coating with a good amount of soft carbonation. I thought this was a good oak aged sour, certainly worth trying if you come across some!
