Bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with pomegranates, raspberries, macadamia nuts, and vanilla beans
Don’t worry, the only thing spilled here is some beer. We treated this bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with pomegranates, raspberries, macadamia nuts, and Tahitian vanilla beans for a perfectly sweet-meets-tart delight with a slightly nutty finish. Best paired with 9 hours and 17 minutes of Middle Earth.

750 ml bottle, 2023 vintage, bottled 01/24/23. Served in a Bruery tulip, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a while. Decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like raspberries, nuts, roasted malt, vanilla, pomegranate and some bourbon. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt, dark bread and oaky flavors. The berry flavor is both sweet and tart, although it is a sweeter tasting brew in general. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's syrupy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew a lot, certainly worth trying if you're into sweeter tasting imperial stouts!

A: Poured into a snifter to a black beer which is topped by a dense finger and a half of light tan head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of bourbon barrels, roasted malts, pomegranate, and raspberries with some slight nutty notes with vanilla coming through at the end
T: Tastes of pomegranates and raspberries up front with some smooth vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts and some hints of macadamia nuts along with some oak and bourbon barrels. On the finish there's more pomegranate and raspberries, vanilla, oak, dark chocolate, roasted malts, and some macadamia nuts toward the end.
M: This beer is fairly full in body with a creamy feel on the palate. Carbonation is adequate for the style while the beer has a fairly neutral finish.
O: Overall this beer is fantastic. Great flavors and a nice amount of complexity help make this one a joy to drink. It does sit a little heavy, but it's also a 13.5% ABV stout. Well worth a try and I wouldn't mind seeing this one as a regular in the rotation.

Look: very dark brown, light mocha head.
Smell: Macadamia vanilla nutty on the first sniff. Chocolate raspberries on the second. Afraid, I’m not sure what pomegranate smells like so unsure there.
Taste: sweet, nutty, raspberry.
