Bourbon barrel-aged imperial porter with cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla beans, maple syrup, and natural maple flavor | Start your morning off right with this French toast-inspired imperial porter. Using our much-loved Chronology bourbon barrel-aged imperial porter as a starting point, we gave it the full breakfast treatment with maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, and just a touch of vanilla to round out the sticky-sweet flavor. Enjoy with pourover coffee and the funnies, or sip this on a chilly evening spent by the fireplace.

A: Poured into a snifter to a black beer which is topepd by a dinger of rocky light tan head which fades somewhaet quickly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing.
S: Smells of cinnamon and nutmeg along with a nice backbone of vanilla and maple sweetness along with some hints of oak and roasted malts.
T: Taste is cinnamon and nutmeg up front with some oak, chocolate and roasted malts. Hints of maple and vanilla come in on the mid palate along with some hints of charred wood. On the finish there's more roasted malts, dark chocolate, and some slight lingering sweetness from the maple and vanilla while the spice notes carry through at the very end.
M: This beer has a surprisingly light body for the abv but it is not watery. I'd say it sits on the lower end of medium. Carbonation is light and adequate for the style while the beer has a drying finish due to the ABV.
O: Overall this is a pleasant beer. It has good flavors and a nice amount of complexity while the additions play well together. The base beer is also apparent which is nice compared to some of the more adjunct forward beers out there today. Worth a try.

Dark brown ( almost black) color. Thin, beige head. Chocolate, maple syrup, vanilla, and bourbon in the aroma. Malty but very moderately sweet taste with spices.

750 mL bottle into a tulip
Dark brown color, coffee tan suds dissipate in a few seconds.
Aromas carry notes of cinnamon and brown sugar, oak. Its bouquet is more subtle than expected, given the ABV and relatively effervescent complexion.
Maple comes through at the front of the sip, with the added spices accenting and drying the profile. The added vanilla is detected, but it seems to be shaded a bit by the other spices. Medium finish.
Nice little concoction. Unique. Probably good Im sharing this, though. Not sure I’d want to work through a whole bottle in one session

750 ml bottle, 2023 edition, bottled 12/08/22. Served in a Teku, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a small amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like maple, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and some bourbon. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some oak, dark bread and some coffee flavors noticeable too. Definitely a sweeter smelling and tasting brew, but not overpoweringly so. Also smells a bit sweeter than it tastes. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit rich with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good overall brew, definitely worth trying if you're into sweeter tasting imperial porters!

Look: as dark as BT, pretty impressive mocha head on the pour that mostly recedes.
Smell: aromatic spices up front, countered by sweetish vanilla.
Taste: maple assertive in the taste, with the cinnamon and nutmeg augmenting.
