12.7 ounce bottle, 2023 edition, bottled 09/14/23. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like blueberries, vanilla, maple, roasted malt and some bourbon. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some burnt/charred malt, oak, dark bread and coffee flavors noticeable too. This one is sweeter tasting, but not overwhelmingly so. Blueberry stands out somewhat but doesn't overpower the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick, rich and has a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot, thought it was a pretty good Black Tuesday variant and especially worth trying if you like blueberries!

Form the 12.7 oz bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74---A major thank you....this is a stunner.
This fine beverage pours a coal black with dark blue highlights and a moderate head of khaki
foam that settles to a thin ring and faint dusty layer. Nose of blueberry jam, bourbon, vanilla,
maple, and dark chocolate. Flavors find 11 on the amplifier with blueberry jam and layers of
mellow bourbon and vanilla. Maple joins nicely in the mix boosting the blueberry and balanced
by dark chocolate and dark coffee with touches of cream and rich char with warmth. Mouth
feel is full, smooth, rich, coating, light carbonation, and a rich balanced finish of blueberry and
bourbon that is not cloying and very approachable.
Overall, this brewery can combine the sweetest of ingredients and give a harmony that
sings without an off note. Balance....the most important trait in a brewer's portfolio.
Cheers
