750mL bottle (2024) into a tulip. Pours a deep brownish black with a half-finger khaki head.
Aroma is rich and deep with notes of bitter roasted malt, dark chocolate, sticky molasses, soft vanilla, and oaky bourbon barrel char.
Taste is dense and rich with all the above-noted flavors swirling on the palate. Bitterness and sweetness dance. There’s a subtle berry fruitiness here too.
Mouthfeel is heavy but not syrupy—decadent, warming. A real sipper.
Overall an outstanding American strong ale that straddles the line with imperial stout. Excellent.

Hoarders Cuvée pours a black color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is filled with notes of oak and bourbon. The flavor is sweeter, with prominent notes of bourbon and subtle hints of spice. Good feel. Overall, a little funky, but big on the flavors, big on the oak, and big bourbony notes.

750 ml bottle, bottled 04/08/24. Served in a Bruery Hoarder's chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like vanilla, honey, molasses, bourbon, and some dark berries. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some roasted malt, fig, and dark bready flavors. Still a bit boozy, but not as much as I was expecting it to be. Both the taste and aroma lean sweeter but not too strongly so. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and syrupy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good overall strong ale, definitely worth trying if you get the chance!

From the 1 pt 9 fl oz bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Dude....WOW...Thanks!
This monster pours a thick obsidian with a moderate head of khaki foam that settles
to a thin ring with some nice legs. Nose of astringent booze, bourbon, vanilla, dark
berry notes, and sweet honey dashed with dried fruits. Flavors hit the mark and beyond
with dark berry notes of black and blueberry, bourbon, light char, deep roast, oak, vanilla,
brandy nuances, rich honey, amber molasses, figs, dates, and light brulee. Mouth feel
is,,,,,ahhhh...smooth.....rich, coating, faint carbonation, lightly slick, warming, and finishing
medium dry from the booze and lightly sweet with a balanced light char and bitter malt
note.
Overall.......WOW....I am stunned. A wondrous collection of flavors culminating ib a
melange of balanced notes. Overall, more excellence from the good Bru folk, and a
BIG cheers to Bluejacket74 for this astounding brew!
