On cask at The Bruery

A: The pour is a hazy golden straw color with very little to no head.

S: A very perfumey aroma with lots of grapefruit. The hops are spicy and floral and work very well, I think. There is a light soap aroma. The base of this beer is bready malt and yeast.

T: There's a decent bitterness to this that I wasn't quite expecting. As with the nose, a strong perfume quality and some mild sweetness from the bready malts. A fair bit of yeast and some spicy hops.

M: Medium in body with a fairly low carbonation.

O: The grapefruit really added something nice to this beer. I found it to be quite good.

On cask at The Bruery,

A: Pours just like the Lemon Zest, very limited head, low retention.

S: Great nose, like ruby red grapefruit juice, very attractive.

T: The flavour here takes the grapefruit and complements it with the good hop character. Much more direct and delicious. Piney, full-flavoured.

M: Medium-bodied, very low carbonation, thin at times.

O: A clearly better beer than the lemon, worth a shot if you can find it.
