Blended Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout and Barrel-Aged Barleywine Ale
For beer and glory! The stakes were high, the beer was plentiful, and the competitive spirit was strong at the return of our Hoarder’s Cuvée Blending Competition, where a select few of our top-tier members created their own blends from a selection of several barrels hand-selected for this project. The winning blend was created by members Tim Cable, Aaron & Tracy Childs, and Kelsey & Eric Skiles.
Together, team “Cinq Cuvée” crafted a perfectly-balanced blend of cognac barrel-aged Black Tuesday, brandy barrel-aged Black Tuesday, and bourbon barrel-aged 3 Chiefs barleywine ale. Boozy notes of barrel char help to carry notes and aromas of candied date, raisin, vanilla, and caramelized sugar. We hope you enjoy this incredibly complex, beautifully balanced blend as much as we do.
