First, We Split a black color, with not much head. The aroma has notes of peanuts and sweet vanilla. The flavor is creamy, with vanilla notes, hints of banana, and lots of salted peanuts. Good feel. Overall, a friendly, approachable, sneaky, sweet, flavourful beer.

On-tap at the tasting room; typical stout appearance with minimal head...the nose is sweet (duh), somewhat airy and light, with vanilla and chocolate. The palate hits a bit "fuller", with some nice notes of banana and peanut, with lots of vanilla. Overall decent/good but really nothing to write home over or seek out.

a real unique imperial stout here, part of an ice cream series they have released. this one is done with bananas, peanut flour, vanilla, and sea salt, and its really good, sugary enough to be a small doses thing for me, but excellent overall and one of the better uses of peanut or peanut products ive had in a beer too. shiny and near black in the glass, very little head on it from the tap, high gloss, good viscosity. the aroma is sweet but still stout first, super roasty and dark, notes of molasses and espresso come along with the obvious peanut and vanilla element. its real nut character is awesome, freshly shelled with the little red papers on them, oily and honest, very cool in here. the vanilla and the roast give it a chocolate covered aspect, brownie maybe, and i get the banana only faintly at first, green peel, pithy. the flavor is rather dynamic, and the banana part is different and more central, cooked now, almost a bananas foster thing that the vanilla plays up, caramelized and there the whole drink, obvious. the peanut is as good as it smells, maybe slightly roasted too, and this is where the salt part hits, really accentuates the peanut, love it with the bitter roast, and even though this is desserty, its balanced, not forced, and seems genuine to me, more drinkable and complete than expected, espresso again at the end, brown sugar, high end vanilla, and some oils from the peanut flour, an actual snickers bar taste for a second even with caramel notes, way cool. heavy body, light on carbonation, but not excessively boozy, especially compared to so many of their others. truly delicious, a cool combination of well integrated flavors, i cant wait to go back for the others in this series!
