Pours black with a small long lasting lacing tan head. Aroma is sweet with a mix of creamy pineapple and vanilla. The flavor is sharp strong lots of creamy pineapple. Good feel. Overall a sweeter stout big pineapple lots of cream.

one of the ice cream themed ones they recently dropped, big stout, no barrel, pineapple and vanilla in this edition, really tasty, not over flavored which i was definitely worried about with this one, the pineapple smells and tastes almost grilled, the vanilla seems whole bean and quite rich, and this is rightly desserty and a rather small doses thing despite coming in way lower in alcohol than a lot of the beers these guys make. satin luster in the glass, close to black, pretty viscous as they go, and with decent carbonation from the tap, a crown of tan froth on top. the nose here is roasty and definitely bringing dark chocolate and espresso character before any off the added flavor, probably a fine stout on its own, good bitterness to it which is needed. the flavor shows the same elements of the base beer, a hint of molasses there too. the pineapple part smells tropical but tastes more like candy than real fruit, less acid than anticipated for pineapple, could definitely pass as grilled pineapple skewers or rings, that slight caramel thing that happens, some char here with the dark barley, long on the palate, the fruit part outlasts the bitter roast and even the sugar itself to me. the vanilla is sexy and bold, something real enjoyable about it all, and it opens up a lot with a little temperature increase, no boozy like so many of their beers, relatively complex, and although i wouldnt necessarily place pineapple and vanilla as a great match, they work well here for sure. is there pineapple ice cream? all i can think of is that like pie filling cheap canned pineapple topping, but i know less about ice cream than i do about beer. either way, this is cool and its been fun drinking through the series so far...

Sampled at the taphouse, typical stout appearance with a small ring of khaki head lace...rich chocolate in the nose but otherwise not that expressive...the palate has that pineapple fruitiness, warmth, a touch of salinity, and a dash of vanilla...solid but not great, which bums me out.
