From the 12.7 oz bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This MONSTER pours a deep blackish brown with a modest head of fizzling foam
that sizzles to a razor thin ring with some killer legs! Nose of rich bourbon, rich
vanilla, subtle oak, astringent booze, mild banana, and rich brown sugars. Flaovrs
find 11 on the amp. Astringent booze and bourbon crash into brown sugars, mild
banana, rich vanilla, subtle char, dark berry notes of blackberry and blueberry, and
dark bakers chocolate dashed with cream----perfect! Mouth feel is full, smooth
rich, moderately coating, very warming but kept to a sizzle instead of scorched earth,
and a nice bitter malt finish that is medium dry.
Overall, the master blenders of flavor nail it again with a stunning array of
potential cloying notes that meld nicely into a symphony of balance.
Personally, I consider this to be a new favorite. So well presented and
nicely balanced without beating you to death with malt.
Excellent!
Cheers

12.7 ounce bottle, 2024 edition, bottled 09/05/24. Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that didn't stay around for too long. There's a decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like vanilla, brown sugar, roasted malt, bourbon and some bananas. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt and dark bready flavors. Starts off sweet but there's some roasty bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit slick and syrupy with a good amount of carbonation. It's a little boozy but not as much as I was expecting it to be. I thought this was a good overall brew, certainly worth trying if you get the chance!
