Listed this one as a Belgian Strong Dark Ale because its massively Belgian in all characteristics, its just not an American or Russian Imperial Stout! Draft pour at the Bruery, dark opaque appearance with a small foamy ring of khaki head. The Belgian character hits you first, nose and palate...big-time banana breadiness with the background Belgian spices, malty warmth, some nuttiness, rich malts underneath, earthy funk. To me it works together well, and the Belgian character leads the charge.
