Muddy amber color with a medium off‑white head. The aroma is rich and layered, showing dark fruits, vanilla, raisins, and a touch of oak. The flavor follows with a complex, moderately sweet profile and a gentle wave of warming alcohol toward the finish

375mL bottle into a tulip—first one of these I’ve had in the smaller format, but I don’t disagree with the decision, especially since I always end up drinking these on my own. Pours a clear reddish mahogany with a minimal khaki head.

Aroma leads off with an intriguing blend of sour and sweet. Subtle tartness balanced by fruity caramel malt. All these Bruery solera anniversary beers have been so similar, I’m actually surprised by this apparent deviation. Could be an anomaly, time to taste.

First sip is decidedly sweeter than what o detected on the nose, now countered by a subtle oaky bitterness. Caramel, vanilla, toffee, bourbon char—much more in line with what I’ve come to expect from this series, which is not a bad thing. Rum-soaked figs/dates as it warms.

Mouthfeel is medium-heavy, lingering boozy warm finish.

Overall another tasty link in the Bruery anniversary chain.

Meubles pours a murky brown, with a small, but long-lasting head. The aroma has notes of bourbon, vanilla, and raisins. The flavor is sweeter, with bourbon notes, vanilla, and lots of dark fruits like raisins. Good feel. Overall, an elite Old Ale, sweeter, and the big booziness is very well hidden.

From the 12.7 fl oz bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This exceptional brew pours a muddled burnt auburn with a moderate head of khaki foam
that subsides to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and has nice legs with a swirl. Nose of
rich bourbon, oak, vanilla, toffee, vinous brandy. brown sugars, and dark fruits.
Flavors hit the mark with mellow rich bourbon, vanilla, toffee, dates, dark berry notes of
dark cherry and blackberry, brown sugars, leather, vinous brandy, and subtle tobacco.
Mouth feel is medium, light carbonation, smooth, rich, warming, and finishing
medium dry.

Overall, on mine and the Little Lady's anniversary this seems appropriate since it is
The Bruery's anniversary brew. Life is good, and good friends make it even better!
Cheers brother Blueacket74 and cheers Beeradvocate. I may be biased, but personally
really dig this one! Plus it's a special day!

Really lovely beer in keeping with The Bruery's typical anniversary offerings - and if anything, in that regard, perhaps a little understated.

Nose prominently features the bourbon, along with a bit of harshness from the alcohol.

Flavor follows on the palate. It's big, bold, and bourbon-forward - but far more drinkable than any beer approaching 20% ABV has any right to be. The old ale base provides a relatively simple and malty canvas upon which the bourbon dances, continuing to steal the show.

This is not the most complex anniversary ale for The Bruery. It's not the best, either. But it's still really damn tasty.

12.7 ounce bottle, 2025 edition, bottled 04/21/25. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a mahogany brown color with about a half inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like raisins, vanilla, toffee, oak, red grapes, booze and some earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some caramel flavors. Leans sweeter tasting but not overwhelming at all. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and a bit rich with a moderate amount of carbonation. It's also still a bit boozy, so it could use some aging in my opinion. With that being said it's still good and worth trying if you get the chance!
