From the 12.7 fl oz bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This beast of a brew pours a dark blackish brown with a moderate head of
light brown foam that settles to a thin ring, subtle clumping layer, and sports
some nice legs with a swirl. Nose of heavy bourbon, rich blueberry, light vanilla,
dark chocolate, oak, and astringent booze. Flavors exceed the nose with rich
boozy bourbon, oak, vanilla, medium char, bakers chocolate, earthy malts, and
rich blueberry jam with nuances of coffee. Mouth feel is full, slick, coating, very
warming...almost hot, and finishing with a biter malt note that is moderately
dry.
Overall, a solid brew that would benefit from some time laid down to
mellow out the booze. VERY good, but if you are not a fan of hot bourbon
this one may be a touch much. IMHO it is a welcome treat!
Cheers
