From the 12.7 oz bottle in a snifter via Bluejacket74! Cheers Dude!
This solid imperial pours a dark and muddled blackish brown with a modest
head of khaki foam that sizzles to a thin ring, subtle dusty film, and displays some
solid legs. Nose of spicy rye whiskey, oak, light vanilla, char, and dark cocoa.
Flavors surpass the nose with spicy rye whiskey, oak, mellow vanilla, moderate
char, faint smoke, dark cocoa, subtle coffee, and dark fruit notes of raspberry
amongst the roasted goodness. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, subtly coating,
warming, and finishing medium dry.
Overall, another stellar brew from the masters of blending flavors.
Cheers

12.7 ounce bottle, 2025 edition, bottled 05/13/25. Served in a BeerAdvocate Tumbler glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark chocolate, roasted malt, whiskey, and some vanilla. For the most part the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some burnt/smoky and oaky flavors noticeable too. Decent amount of barrel character in both the aroma and taste. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and a bit coating with a moderate amount of soft carbonation. I liked this brew, definitely worth trying if you get the chance!

Ok tap at The Bruery
A- pours black in color with a one finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring
S- sharp oak, barrel juice, dark fruits, chocolate
T- predominantly barrel up front with sharp oak and barrel juice, followed by dark fruits. The finish is somewhat dry with plenty of barrel sticking around on the linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation, foamy mouthfeel and warming finish
