Pours very dark brown with a good two fingers of light tan head. Head has staying power and lacing follows the head down the glass. Very nice appearance.
Smell is my weak point. I have a tough time picking out the various components in the aroma. I will just say there is plenty of it. Floral, citrus, and sweet malts.
Taste is bitter citrus some resin, malts sweetness takes the edge off the hop punch. Quite balanced for an IPA. Makes for a smooth drinker.
Mouthfeel is almost Porter like in the medium to full body. Carbonation is just enough.
Overall an easy drinking IPA that finishes slightly dry and still the malts battle back. Long finish. Nice beer and alcohol is well hidden.

A: Pours a nice dark brown with a very very light brown head. Big fluffy head at that. Head sticks around forever, refuses to fade away. Solid walls of lacing and awesome head retention.

S: Lots of juicy, sweet tropical fruits. Grapefruit and resin follows. A little bit of toast and nuts but mostly overpowered by the hops.

T: Oh man, super juicy tropical fruits and grapefruit. Lots of mango, passionfruit, pineapple even? Oranges in there with grapefruit too. A little bit of toasted bread in the middle. Resinous hops in the finish as well. More toast in the aftertaste with just a little bit of roasted nuts.

M: Smooth, smooth smooth and medium bodied. Goes down like water.

O: I'm really digging these 10 barrel hop projects. The hops are like having fresh squeezed juice all up in your face. Never really had a beer that could accomplish that effect quite like 10 barrel has. This is another delicious one to add to the list. One more to go, wheat ipa coming up soon!

Poured into my large Gulden Draak tulip, Hop Project #37 is light brown with an off-white head leaving sticky foamy lace.

Smell is pungent, dank hops, big cat piss, pine resin. Some tropical fruit notes as well.

Taste is big resiny hop flavors with very nicely balanced toffee malt . A hint of iced coffee. Fairly bitter, minerality.

Mouthfeel is dry, well carbonated,medium-light bodied.

Drinkability is high, a great hoppy brown. The 10 Barrel Hop Projects are very well done.
