Misc.: Quick review
Went over to Coin Haus to use up a $25 Groupon that I probably wasn’t going to be able to use before I went on vacation. Would be quick reviews all night with small pours, breaking my semi-rule of no reviews under six ounces. Untappd had it as, “Special DIPA celebrating our 11th anniversary! We double dry-hopped this West Coast DIPA with Mosaic, Cashmere, Ekuanot, and Chinook creating a layered blend of hop aroma and flavor that hits tropical, citrus, dank, and pine notes.”
Poured a medium yellow-to-gold clear color with 6-to-7 fingers of rocky white head. No bubbles underneath the chaos. Perfect foamy spiderweb lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 5.00)
Smelled Mosaic, Ekuanot, pine, papaya, mango, guava, green peppers and herbal. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste was not quite as good as the nose. Got Ekuanot, green pepper, herbal, papaya, woody pine, mango, guava, Mosaic and floral. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Slightly bitter finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Outstanding DIPA overall. Glad I got to try it. (Overall - 4.00)
