Bottle shared by DeaconBluez. Batch #8, so I'm guessing this is different from the Batch #2 Farmhouse ale? Bottle #38, from May 11th, 2011.
A - Off-white foam settles to a partial cap, thick collar, and minimal lace. Slightly hazed dark orange body.
S - Funky, farmy, with some tropical brett notes, and sharp lactic acidity, and maybe a slight uric note. Stone fruit pale malts, and some slightly phenolic yeast. Pretty nice wild Saison, albeit a tad unsubtle.
T - The taste isn't quite as good, as while it starts out quite similar to the aroma it has a sort of empty and flaccid finish. Stone fruit malts, a touch of lactic sourness, with some tart apple and grape skin flavors as well.
M - Medium-bodied, with pleasant carbonation, a lightly grainy texture, and a very dry finish. Pretty refreshing, with no obvious alcohol presence.
D - This was quite nice, and if the flavor lingered a little longer it'd be an excellent beer as opposed to merely enjoyable one. Hopefully I can get my hands on some other Good People limited releases down the road.
